Releasing your work to your server

By now you should have built your index file and tested it within Hi Lab and checked that it all works in normal browsers.

If it is not there already, you will need to move the necessary files to your local copy of your site. Then provide the necessary links to your search page, eg link to search.html.

To release your search page to your server, you will need to copy all the Hi HelpIndex Java files, together with your search web page, your index file(s) and any language files.

How to copy these files to your server depends on your individual set up. One common way of doing it is to use FTP to transfer the files. Alternatively it might just be a case of copying the files to the right directory, or copying them to a networked drive.

Don't forget to copy your index and language files
