findinsite-ms advanced options

Once you have installed findinsite-ms and set up your first search, your first job will be to call findinsite-ms from your web site.

The next task that you will probably want to do is to configue the look and feel of the site, ie alter the templates so that the findinsite-ms output looks like part of your site. You can change the number of hits on each page using runtime parameters.

If you want to set up specialised searches, look at the subsets and meta-data fields pages.

findinsite-ms can also be configured to provide a user interface in a new language. You can change the word stemming and synonym rules.

Consult the Web.Config options page if you want to change the work directory using the work appSettings parameter, or store the software license id.

The Word highlighting can be switched off and configured.
